If you are unfamiliar with debates, (especially concerning the one's below), it might be best to read the "back and forth" then go back and read one position through then the other.
On March 21, 2012 I completed a debate with an Atheist on "Belief in God is Irrational"   http://www.debate.org/debates/Belief-in-God-is-irrational/2/
On April 4, 2013 I finished a lengthy and "lively" two part debate with Mr. Travis Moody. Part one was entitled: "The Scriptures teach that water baptism is essential for salvation." Mr. Moody affirms Mr. Baker denies. Part two was entitled: "Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone." Mr. Baker affirms Mr. Moody denies.

                                               Moody-Baker Debate

The debate with Dr. Lloyd Olson on the topic of "Limited Atonement" was suddenly and unexpectedly ended by my withdrawal after the 3rd exchange.

Christ's death on the cross did NOT actually and definitely save anyone in particular but made salvation a POSSIBILITY for all men.

View the debate here: The Baker-Olson Debate

The Father imposed His wrath due unto, and the Son underwent punishment for, either:

  1. All the sins of all men.
  2. All the sins of some men, or
  3. Some of the sins of all men.

This proposition presented by the great theologian John Owen (in his book "The Death of Death in the Death of Christ") places the debate squarely within the requirements of the historical orthodox Christian belief system revealing whether one actually believes in the definite, penal, substitutionary, sacrificial, atoning death of Christ on the cross.

Below is a very good - short video - helpful in explaining the method used vs Atheism.
                                              Matthew Henry quotes:
updated: 08/07/2013

Those that are impatient of the common calamities of human life, and think to avoid them by changing their place, will find that they are deceived and that they do not at all better themselves. The grievances common to all men will meet them wherever they go. All our removes in this world are but from one wilderness to another; still we are where we are.    (Jer.42)
We know not what is good for ourselves; and that often proves afflictive, and sometimes fatal, which we are most fond of and have our hearts most set upon.
The reason why men deny the scriptures to be the word of God is because they are resolved not to conform to scripture-rules, and so an obstinate infidelity is made the sorry subterfuge of a willful disobedience. If God had spoken to them by an angel, or as he did from Mt. Sinai, they would have said that it was a delusion.    (Jer.43:1-7)
Those that walk not in the law of God do thereby show that they are destitute of the fear of God.
Those that know God, and put their trust in him, will serve him, though he starve them, though he slay them, though they never see a good day with him in this world, being well assured that they shall not lose by him in the end.
The frowns of the world would not disquiet us as they do if we did not foolishly flatter ourselves with the hopes of it's smiles and court and covet them too much. It is our over-fondness for the good things of this present time that makes us impatient under it's evil things.
Though we may pour out our complaints before God, we must never exhibit any complaints against God.    (Lam.3:37-41)
Nothing is more easy than to determine that God is, nothing more difficult than to describe what he is.
We may expect that God will speak to us when we stand ready to do what he commands us.    (Ez.2:1)
Scripture truths look best in scripture language, their native dress; and how can we better speak God's mind than with his words?
It is a righteous thing with God to deprive us of those enjoyments which we have made the food and fuel of our lusts.
A contempt of the word and law of God opens a door of all manner of iniquity. God's statutes are the terms on which he deals with men; those that refuse his terms cannot expect his favors.
In the heaviest judgments God inflicts upon sinners he does but recompense their own ways upon them; they are beaten with their own rod.
